Had my steel pulley for about 1000 miles now , and while I do occasionally get the odd squeek , it soon disappears - bliss.
I wonder in the drive train what the point of least resistance is now ?
Having recently spotted an oil leak in the bevel box front seal I think I have probably answered my own question.
