But just reading the blurb it's not actually an original SuperSport, so that makes the guide price high imho?

But just reading the blurb it's not actually an original SuperSport, so that makes the guide price high imho? To Quote " While in the Vought family's ownership the Morgan was totally restored to Super Sports specification" end of quote. Liberal use of the term 're-stored' I believe, should it read 're-built'?

Definitely not an original SS. Earliest chassis-nr. is 4749. And among other things like bucket seats wire wheels should be 72 spokes.

Poking around the internet I found it was previously in the H&H Duxford sale last September (it didn't sell).
Bonham's description is a complete copy and paste (complete with typos) from the earlier one, with the omission of the phrase - only very few of the original Super Sports were High-Line with cream gauges - which perhaps they deemed too misleading!
Strange that this lhd car that has spent its entire life in the USA has been brought back to Oxford to be sold.

This traditional three dial dash has far more symmetry than the current odd layout. The 3.7 Roadster blurb indicates a fresh approach to the gauge surround. I hope it looks more attractive than the current dash.

It is in fact correct that only a few original SS were hi-line and have cream gauges.
Possibly only 10 had this combination.
This car is incorrect in its replication of the early cars in that they did not have modified cooling with header tanks etc as with the hi-line body the radiator did not need to be shortened.
Also early cars used the 42DCOE.
A genuine SS is usually priced from 100K Sterling upwards so this cars pricing could be attained as its a very highly specced, beautifully done car.
