Description
I have fitted the Morgan script badge copying the layout that I have seen on another Plus 4. I have since seen the same layout on two other cars. The second photo is modified to show an alternative layout that I have seen on another car last night. To tell the truth I prefer the second layout but the holes are now drilled frown

Perhaps Jays' method (see http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/88057/Morgan_script_badge#Post88070 ) may be safer because if you don't get it quite right you can change it.

It is not easy to get it looking as it should because the slope of the script is different in the Morgan and the Plus 4. I made it so that the base of the two scripts were parallel but I think that it may look better if the Morganis slightly higher at the left so that the slope of the two scripts is more in line. This is what I have done on the modified version of the photo that also places the Morgan script more to the left.

If you decide to drill holes my recommendation would be to experiment with placement on a sheet of scrap aluminium and when you have got it how you want it, with suitable protection for the paint, use the sheet as a template to get the holes in the desired position using any holes used by an existing badge (in my case the Plus 4) to hold the template in place. Because the pins are very close to the edges of the script you have very little possibility of elongating holes to adjust the scripts. You must get it right first time. Also before drilling make sure you have access to the rear of the panel to place the nuts. On my car I barely had space to get my fingers to the pin let alone screw on the nut.

Good luck
Peter

It looks good as it is Peter. You are a brave man drilling holes in your bodywork!

I'm just pondering about fitting the front wing lights.....I'm putting off drilling!

Thanks! Both version for sure works but maybe, as you said, version two is slightly more "balanced". Will copy that!

I like both options - best of all I liked toggling between the two photos watching the 'Morgan' jump back and forth !

I think that if I had put off the drilling for one day I would have chosen option 2 after seeing it last night on a French car. Now all I have to do is change my mind and convince myself I prefer option 1.

Too many choices Peter, I prefer option 2, however I also like option 1 because the badges are in line. Stick with your choice. Both look good. Nice job.
