I am having problems filling my Roadster with fuel  The petrol pump keeps cutting out before I have a chance to get much fuel in. It’s not the pump because I have tried it on two different pumps. I can not get the pump all the way in and then it cuts out after a little fuel has gone in making refilling a long and laborious process  Does anyone else have this problem ?

Yes, same problem here with my 4/4 : all the way in (it does go after a while), cuts off immediately; in 3/4 cuts off regularly; thin bit of pump in only = works ok. Have to be careful about overflow/spillage, so rarely get a 100% full tank. Met with many Morgan owners today at Horton; asked 3; 3 replies "it's a Morgan, it does that" whilst heads nod in agreement. Bit of a pain, but it's a M....

Yes. Quite normal with so many cars. The Ford GT is a pig to fill - vapour causes the pump to lock out/stop. The Roadster is similar. The trick is to just put the tip in, very gently squeeze the trigger, and then slide the whole thing in while increasing the pressure. I'm sorry that sounded so vulgar.

Yes mine does it too so I think it must be back pressure: I changed the filler hose to see if that made a difference but it didn't. I think Neilda has it right.

I do find that there is a variance depending on the pump. I assume that is due to the flow rate.
But even on the best pump, filling does require patience. Oh and a hand full of paper towels to catch any spillage.

The trick is to just put the tip in, very gently squeeze the trigger, and then slide the whole thing in while increasing the pressure. Couldn't have put it better myself. That's precisely what I do, and it works.

I had that problem on my old Roadster ( 2005 ). I had to replace the filler hose. It had a smaller vent pipe tee'd off, going to the vent connection. The original hose had the smaller pipe left full length, resulting in a loop which formed an air lock. I cut the new one down so that there was a fall all the way to the tank & from that day on, it filled at full pump speed  I don't have any problems with the 3.7 Roadster. I notice that the vent pipe now comes from a connection on the filler cap assembly. I'd check that the vent pipe does go down hill all the way to the tank ( & also that it hasn't kinked) Ian
