First a question.

Do you think all the MMC factory trad tool trays are the same?

1) YES - because it makes sense to keep one design.

2) NO - because different models need different tools.

Well, I have news................
On the left is 2005 Roadster
On the right is 2012 4/4

Both have slots for the wire wheel spanner and hammer, or a wheel brace.
Both have a slot for a first aid box which you don't get.
The Roadster one has two circular holes of indeterminate use.
The Roadster one has an extra oblong box.

If anybody wants either of these, they are available, but only by collection - they won't post easily!

I neither want nor need....I exect to have one for sale soon!

But I can throw light on the "round holes" on the roadster. Mine came with a single hex spanner fitting spinner in one of the holes. Seems that wire wheel cars should have this so if you lose a spinner you have a spare....

The second hole is for a spare bulb kit.

The frst Aid pack is supplied with cars sold in Germany because it is mandatory to carry one.

The oblong box could be to carry a warning triangle, again obigatory in Germany.

Well done Peter, the equivalent of tool tray mastermind!

So we should all have a spare spinner then. Ha!
I expect the MMC first aid kit is a bit pricey...............

That also explains why VW's have a hole for a first aid kit, and no kit.

But if you buy a "premium" German car you get the first aid kit...!
Our BMW and Mercedes both came with warning triangel and first aid kit. I can't remember if the TT did or not.

Our X5 and 530 came without a first aid kit!

Looking at the photograhps I thought: Morgans become to be more and more "normal" cars! No toolboxes under the bonnet anymore, with the tools wrapped in brown paper. Is it a pity?

Ours came with the second type of tray. We have no space for the triangles and the first aid kit is a fraction too big to fit in the space allocated, (neither came with the car) so they both float around on the parcel tray.
No spare wheel nut either frown , but I can't imagine loosing one scared

To tell the truth I can't imagine having to unload everything to get to the tool tray in a hurry if either the triangles or the first aid kit is needed in a hurry.
