Read the excuses for 'failure to display' in the last paragraph. Gerry.
I think that is absolutely disgraceful. I assumed that my correspondence with the DVLA was confidential, I didn't expect them to go spreading it around the interweb. How embarassing  ~iw (I won't be sending them any plums next year.)

Its detractors' reasons for failing to display were listed by the DVLA earlier this year, when it published the top 10 excuses for not renewing. They included "I fell out of a tree picking plums and broke both my arms", and "I took too much Viagra and couldn't leave the house".If this lot were all as 'Productive' as they seem to be 'Inventive' then we could be a very Rich Nation as they could replace the 'North Sea Gas' supply

You can order a tax disc for any date from the Heritage Motor Museum: Replica Tax Discs ~iw Following a conversation over on Pistonheads I ordered a replica disc from this site on Tuesday and it arrived today. For £8 you get three discs with one inscribed with details if you wish. You can even specify what tax office you want on the rubber stamp. They are not perforated but they're a great deal cheaper than the "official" ones.   ~iw
