Hi all, I want to replace the gear knob of my Morgan 4/4 1800 Zetec, at the moment it's still the classic Ford gear knob. Has anyone experience with the gear knob (lift type) of Holden : Gear knob lift type Holden Other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

MMC used to produce a wooden gearknob for Zetec 1.8s There may be some left in the dealer network? Maybe worth an email to Melvyn Rutters?

Hi Mog65, I changed the original Ford gear knob on my Zetec for the Richbrook 'Classic'. A plain aluminium sphere, with no markings at all. After a while I felt it was a bit too bulbous and removed some of the metal from the sides to make it more cylindrical- a bit like the 'Touring' knob (which is not available as a 'lift for reverse' option). I'm pleased with the result. Gerry. http://www.richbrook-styling.co.uk/gear-knobs/classic-ball104

The Speed Top looks like the standard Plus4 knob, and the Touring looks like the S1 Roadster knob.

The Holden is the very same as the Richbrook emblem silver lift reverse. 5 minutes to replace , only one hex-screw. It perfectly fits your 4/4. An alternative: Melvyn Rutter used to sell a wooden large base (lift reverse) gear knob.

You could fit a Librands quick shift and improve the gear change too - it includes a wooden knob.

Yes I have that one on with the mog badge . But beware its not comfy in the palm of my hand the sharp edge rim digs in . But I have come to like it that way it keeps me alert and stops lazy gear changes . Finally i've changed the classic Ford gear knob in a Richbook Top Speed gear knob. It's perfect for lift for reverse use.

Librands made one that was great on my 1994 4/4 Zetec. It also shortened the shaft for a faster change.
