It isn't the "old" Mustang - IE the one before the one coming out this year.
A search for 3-spoke steering wheels suggests that it could be close to the Mini one - which would fit with the door clasp (according to a Mini owner) and along with many other fittings that seem to originate from the BMW group

Not that pleasing to the eye but certainly better than the one fitted to my car. Has anyone enquired about retro-fitting to pre 2014 Aero's and Plus 8's ?

This wheel is entirely designed in house. Confirmed by Johnathon of Morgan design at a recent IMECHe lecture. Hope that helps clear it all up. He was very proud of his efforts to and a very entertaining chap.
A photo I took at the Techno Classica motorshow in Essen/Germany on March 30th where the MORGAN Club Germany showed the half "skeletonised" +8 from Geneva.
I might be wrong but if I remember correctly the silver coloured plate of the center of the steering wheel is metal, not plastic.

Anything being put into the very specific style of an Aero interior is going to look different and so be controversial however it is a definite improvement. The factory do certainly seem to be stepping up a gear, I like that.
