The first bonus, post-Scotland was to find that no water got under my shield into the cam covers and plug holes.

Here's how Mr Bumble looked when we arrived home........
The flies were thicker than they look in the photos.

We had some leaking through the bulkhead. Here I've added a neoprene washer under the plastic cable clip.
Around the throttle cable, there's a large hole through the bulkhead, which has been discussed before. Here I've fitted a U shaped aluminium shield edged with neoprene at both ends.
I've also pushed a small piece of neoprene into the open corner edge on the bulkhead, which is just visible.

The next job was just my OCD emerging. The drivers side carpet was quite scruffy after the trip. When you fit an organ throttle pedal the carpet has to be cut around the base and this leaves it untidy. I strengthened the rear at the time with some silver gaffer tape, but now was the time to sort it.
Here it is 'as was'.

And now with extra leather edging, and the rear strengthened with leather. I also removed the scruffy rubber heel mat, and replaced it with a new offcut, held in place with four soft top fasteners so it can be taken off for cleaning.

Did you extend the heel mat? The factory fitted one was always too short and on all my Mogs the carpet was looking tired after only 10,000 miles

From previous experience with rubbing holes in carpets with my heel I ordered a spare set of floor mats with the car. They did not cost much and they are there when I will eventually need them.
