Good evening,
I changed the battery of the pliper and they don t operate the car central lock anymore
I guess taking the battery out has erased the memory
Does anyone know how I can synchronise again the plipers with the car?
There are no indications whatsoever in the users manual, which by the way, shows a different plipper than the ones I got with the car
Thanks in advance

Following the advise from the Italian dealer, I disconnect the two wires from the battery and left the car for an hour or so like this
I then reconnected and presto, the central locking works again

My central locking plipper was changed by the factory just before Xmas and has given up operating the central locking again (so has the spare plipper so I don't think it's plipper battery problem). The main car battery had got pretty discharged when this happened so I'm wondering if the car / plipper have lost contact and the same technique would work for me??
What I wanted to enquire of others was whether disconnecting the battery would cause any other systems to re-boot. Not worried about radio memory, but would the ecu be affected in any negative way? Are there any other issues with completely disconnecting the battery? Or is there an easier way to re-synch the central locking like the technique for getting the windows to work?
Any help much appreciated... I'll contact Mark Baldwin if there's no answer here and post updates as I get them.
Car is going brilliantly in all other respects so I don't want to make anything worse!!!

Wouldn't think there would be an issue as there is a factory fitted isolater switch on the s4.
As to whether this will fix the issues with the plipper I have no idea.
I can say that my battery has gone totally flAt recently and that hasn't made any difference to to central locking intermittency .....
