I just read the article. It is ok but as a Plus8 owner I found it very limited in details/info etc.. I got the impression that the author was not particularly up to speed on he car or that the article had been edited to fit space and info cut.
I think it should have made more effort to guide interested people to MMC/MSCC/TM as a way to expand.
Still, nice to see the article in a major Mag.

Still, nice to see the article in a major Mag. Agreed 100% , I was mildly disappointed , and thought they could (and should) have done better. Talking to owners would have been good, as would taking a few cars from each era and showing the development over the 35+ years.

Reading your opnions of the article it makes you wonder about all the other cars they research now !
I pick up a copy every so often if it looks intresting but will give this one a miss by the sound of it.

As an MG 'expert' I was always disappointed by the superficial and sometimes inaccurate efforts by motoring journalists in Classic mags. So I always take what they say with a pinch of salt. But it's not just cars. There was a recent Julia Bradbury programme on Lynton & Lynmouth. We are L&L experts. Ok the programme was 30 minutes, less floss, but it only told half the story.
So the same thing applies to TV. But we knew that didn't we?

I bought the mag today having seen tha article.
Agree, it could have been better but at least it promotes the marque.

Its unrealistic to expect a piece of journalism that has to appeal to a broad spectrum to be fully correct in the eyes of the enthusiast. If you ever did oproduce something that the "rivet counters" were happy with you would turn off everyone else.

If I purchase any more mags on cars I wont be able to get in the house. Tried to give a giant stack of them away for free at the car club , but no takers. So thought up at the next charity bash I shall take the lot and while there wives are shopping and the men are ogling the cars . I shall flog them a mag for a quid and hand the cash to the charity fund.
