Does any forum member know of a supplier or where I can obtain some replacement self adhesive foam seal which sits on top of the heater box? The seal is approx 37 x 25mm and for a1994 plus 8.
Thanks in advance.

The motor accessory shop I use has rolls of two way sponge sticking tape they vary in width and length . You can stick it to the bulk head or the heater box ( and it sticks like like hell ) It has a green plastic film on one side if you want a none sticking side or you can remove the green tape from some and put it on the sticky side + it cuts easy with a small pair if scissors . If not you can pull it off and both sides stick . The roll has plenty on for around a fiver . You can also but it together if you need extra wide or thickness . I am going past the place this evening do you want me to pop in and get the name etc off the stuff and you can send away for some . I often use it for sticking plaques on the skimmed garage walls. swmbo informs me you can get it in HALFORDS .

I replaced the foam on mine with foam for aquarium pump filters. A very open cell foam. I got it from a pet place, trimmed it and stuck it on with double sided tape.
It was originally in block shape that I split to thinner section and these two bits covered the heater intake perfectly., butted the two together in the middle so no gaps. I bought a packet with a couple of foam blocks so have a spare for future replacement. They cost a couple of £ .

Thanks for the heads up. Just purchased a sheet of 2" thick open cell filter foam from the company below so I can cut to size.

You need a closed cell foam for the seal otherwise you will get hot engine air coming in instead of fresh outside air. Not a problem in winter but in summer sunny
