New sump guard

Fitted a new sump guard to the S5. This design is attached to the chassis rather than the engine and there is about 10-15mm gap between the sump and the guard. Of course, drops the ground clearance a bit more!

I wasn't allowed to put a SiFab logo on RTCC's design blush

First one I've seen fitted

Simon, you need to design one for the latest 3.7 Roadster, only had mine a week and the gearbox drain plug is scraped

One that extends to cover that and give a 'ramp' over the cross-member would be good

Do watch that drain plug on your 3.7. The plug on my 8 was similarly scraped when I first had it and the garage found that it had been subjected to enough force to twist it and it was losing oil.

Thankfully my sump guard (Wolf) has saved my engine many times already.

Luckily my Plus8 has the steel Rover sump. It has a decent dent caused last year by a large stone in the road. If it had been aluminium then frown shocked2
Next oil change I will probably drop the sump for a new gasket as the one there is starting to show signs of oil weeping. Perhaps a chance to bash the dent out a bit too. In the past any grounding has been on the chassis cross member.
