Installed the Fairbourne after both stock plexiglass screens cracked through.
Because it covers more area, width and height, it deflects more air upward at speed. That, in turn, creates more of a vacuum force in the cockpit causing more dust, debris, bugs and leaves to get pulled in from the front end as well as the rear.
I was pulling my hair in frustration trying to figure out where all this crap was coming from as the roads are relatively clean right now. Needless to say, as much as I can recommend these wind screens, I can also recommend a complete change of clothing after a longish drive. Wearing a dust mask may be advisable for those affected.
...and if your lovely comes out all dressed up in whites turn her around and please ask her to change into something more suitable for gardening!

Interesting observation - I have not experienced that with mine (Fairbourn) - that I've noticed, but then again, it's been on the car since I got it. Perhaps a good call to seal up the openings in the front and back this winter as I have been planning to do for a while...

So, maybe fit a side scoop along the side to vent the footwell? Or drive in the rain to keep the dust down? FYI I do get the odd leaf and stuff but tend to drive with the half-tonneau on and my own cr&p filling the passenger side... and vacuum the muck out after every few rides. Happy driving (and er cleaning)!

The rain was what clued me in. I got caught out in a light shower and when it was over, I pulled off and toweled the screen dry. The front was pretty clear as the water had been blown off. The inside was really covered! This all came from the front following the transmission tunnel then into the car. Those gaps are huge! It made the regular grime turn into an interesting mud...

Not sure I've noticed it the same. 4 days hard driving in Spain over the Summer (heat, rain, ...) meant that yes, the chamois leather picked up some grime from the inside windscreen when cleaning the dew off in the morning... but nothing special! Perhaps my big feet block the gaps on mine

Lots of dust gets pulled in with the stock screens but sealing gaps behind the seats helps a lot. I did not notice an increase in dust after fitting the Fairbourne. I mostly drive with the half tonneau over the passenger seat & have never noticed water getting pulled onto the back of the screen in rain. Driving at 50mph & above the rain largley slides off to the sides. Light misty rain is a pain as it does not clear.

The debris under the bonnet is also noticeable so I now understand why Emil at Custom Morgan made the boot for the steering column. It also explains the hot air i feel in the cockpit on a warm day. What is the best method of cleaning the plexiglass or lexan, whatever the material, of the wind screens?

Aerosol glass cleaner you can find in any auto parts store with a clean cotton kitchen towel. The lexan is tough and, so far, scratch free! I'm also going to use the Rainoff for plastics to see how well that sheds dust. The lexan builds up a wicked static charge that aggravates the problem and this might help.

Thanks Michael. Something like the foaming spray like BonAmi?
