Two days ago, an oncoming car crashed into my morgan. Fortunately the accident went relatively smoothly. But it was extremely close to a big damage.

I approached a hairpin bend. An oncoming vehicle kept the curve radius when leaving the curve and came to my side of the road . If I hadn't reacted, there would have been a frontal collision (with about 50% overlap). Fortunately, I was able to avoid it so far that only my rear wing was touched:





The driver of the other vehicle complained of extremely severe toothache and was on his way to the dentist. Possibly strong painkillers have contributed part to the accident ...

I'm surprised he still has any teeth left after this!

Sad to hear that but it looks fixable and thank god nobody was hurt.

I've already been to Morgan Austria. As the wing is only screwed it can be exchanged relatively easily. They will prepare the wing and I can wait for it during the exchange.
First I need the approval of the insurance company.

Thank God you responded so well. I'm only a layman, but I think if there's a slight deformation, the experts can reshape it by hand if the wing is warmed beforehand. Most of the work will be painting.

The workshop thought that they would change the wing, because the vehicle is quite new (just under 1 year).

Okay, that's a decision. I don't know how fast your workshop is working, or how long it has to wait for the new wing, etc.

I had a wildlife accident exactly a year ago and needed a new front wing. The car went to the workshop in March and came back in September due to various waiting times.

My recommendation is to ask the garage how long it will take. I wouldn't give the car to the garage until the replacement wing has arrived so you can drive in beautiful spring.

I remember very well this accident and the long duration of the repair. I was really close to a similar fate.

Damage to a car body and the effort involved is one thing. Being without Morgan for months is the harsher punishment.

During the winter we planned our next trips for the summer. What would they be without Morgan!

I ride with the Morgan much more cautiously and foresightedly than with my tintop. This also applies to - sometimes unavoidable - trips in the twilight/night on roads with possible game passes.

I'm no expert and without seeing the damage in the flesh I reckon a good t cut or other mild abrasive polish will remove most if not all the marks?? then drive and enjoy until the repair can be done properly
