Every now and then someone comes up with a straightforwardly brilliant idea. I badgered Roger to send me a pair and amazingly he did! It's hard to believe the improvement they make to my car. Simply fitted...it took only an hour......adjusted to the dimension Roger recommended and take the car out. It's as if the car has had a suspension update. The back stays in line, is quieter and there is no banging or "plunging" when surmounting a crest. It's utter genius. Before doing anything else to back suspension I thoroughly recommend experimenting with these....assuming Roger can produce enough.... More than that, the factory should look at this.
Sadly, I can't post pictures but hopefully Roger will add one to this thread.
Roger was also a very nice person to communicate with.
Thorough recommendation from me and my thanks to Roger.

Nick, in your enthousiasm you omitted a description of the improvement. Cliff hanger?
Cheers,
Bert

I’m guessing that Nick is talking about bump stops for the rear end Bert.

A set would be brilliant for our Roadster 4 seater, surely a small engerning company could make up a batch.

Thanks for the further explanation. The paraboloid shape gives a progressive character to the stop. Seems a good idea and is nicely executed.

Thanks Bert and sorry for not much of an explanation here. There are several other threads with more detail and I didn’t want to keep going on and on and boring people.

Yes the parabolic stops adds benefits but most notably comfort. The rising stiffness at the end of the stroke does stop the suspension crashing abruptly. Pretty much all other suspension systems that I know of have this function in some form. It’s a shame it was left out on the these cars but once added the combination of soft(ish) leaf springs and live axle works quite well for me.
