Inspired, by the car tumblr posted the other day in the malvern arms, I've put together a quick Aeromax fan site this afternoon in between other jobs.

Check this out and let me know what you think. The main reason i did this was that the images you get when you google image Aeromax - are not that brilliant a collection - I know there are better ones out there, so figured by doing this they would start to appear. After all it's a very photogenic car, and getting the pics that are already online, into a better more coherent space with a little info along with them might be an interesting resource occasionally...

So if you've got a chance to take a look - be interested in your feedback.

I have literally hundreds more photos to link or post on there, the main barrier will be time!

I'm looking for any and all aeromax photos, so if you have taken a picture if an aeromax at any point send me a copy, or point me to where it is displayed on the web.

Cheers for the feedback smile

Great idea. Beautifully executed.

One question. Can a sister sites be set up using the same template for classic four wheelers and three wheelers ?

Easy to set up a site - just go to tumblr.com and sign up to start a new blog. Pick a theme and off you go. I tweaked mine quite a bit, but then I'm fussy!

You can link images already online, or upload your own.

I'm using this to try an organize all the various aeromax pics I can find of aero aeromaxes - just to keep the brief focussed. Ideally then it could become a living history of as many as I can track down...

I registered aeromax.co many moons ago to create a registry. I even went so far as to start building a catalogue of the chassis numbers, options and photographs. However, I shelved it because TM and MCN are more than enough of a time drain.

Rich, perhaps, when we both have some time, it is worth discussing this because I have tons of photographs (many of which are on here) that detail a fair few of the Aeromaxs made as well some info that could/would help (if you wanted it).

Hi Simon - sounds like something to discuss over a drink at some point. Would live to be able to do this really properly. I have around 100 pics so far - and I know I have more in my archives from my factory visits. I guess my initial aim would be to manage to catalog the UK cars. My aim is not to involve 'who bought what etc' unless owners explicitly consent / want this info displayed more to be able to get an overview of the spec of each car..

Off topic - while trawling google images I discovered that he aero 8 entry in Wikipedia has the main image of an aero as my series one at a goodwood breakfast meet!

If you want to create more of a "news" or as they call it "content" based site with a good photo gallery you could look at using either WordPress or Joomla. Both are free on the internet.

Have used joomla before, it's ok but requires a lot more work.

The idea with this site is not really to create content - just bring the content that is already online, but scattered to the four winds into a coherent list. As I do so, and tag the images / video (via build no where possible) it should I hope become an interesting resource for owners.

Anyone know which chassis number this is?
Assume it's the one previously registered as 1DKL...

Good luck with the site.
Not been on here for a quite a long while. There used to be a list of Aeromax chassis numbers and owneres on here somewhere. You may have already come across it, but if not I thought i'd just mention it.

It would be nice to have a 'Hundred club'

They are good pictures. I particularly like the one of the car head on - it looks very mean. The Max tends to be photographed from the rear quarter or in profile but the front looks just as good.
