John, you're going to love that car.
People often test drive new Porsches and make sweaping statements like 'they are too polished', 'too clinical', 'no soul' etc but I can honestly say, from an owners perspective, that the breadth of ability, dynamic qualities and 'personality' grow with ownership.
The only model that leaves me cold, even after ownership experience, is the modern Turbo; imho, it is simply too accomplished, rapid and polished to really come alive on our public roads. However, the Cayman and normally aspirated 911s are brilliant cars that really do shine the longer you own them.
I look forward to hearing more once you've taken delivery.
