Morgans on the Dyno - TM Rolling Road Day

A few random photos from the Talk Morgan: Breakfast - Dyno - Lunch.

Thanks to Rich for planning the Rolling Road, Charlie of Surrey Rolling Road for putting our Morgans through their paces (some need some extra exercise more than others waiting ) and to the local pub for making us welcome.

A very enjoyable day and good to meet up with some regulars and also meet a new face (good to meet you Ray! thumbs ).

Also, an honourable mention to AsboJohn for taking my ribbing in such good humour. His new car is stunning hippy

Photos are in no particular order...

Not quite.... Modded 4/4s' can get up to the 250-300bhp region.

Get a bit scary to drive though!!

Cereal,
Yes, I know. I've got a mere 14O-odd BHP from my Zetec at the mo and I find that quite interesting.

However, my mind keeps coming back to a set of Jenveys and a re-mapped ECU.

I've sorted the induction side and fitted a four -branch exhaust, upgraded the crank ( inc strap) rods, pistons, flywheel cams and head, so the engine should be able to take it and I'm running AVOs, brake reaction bars and Rutherford springs

Problem is, do I then lose what is a tractable fast road car and get a howling dog with a very narrow range of deliverable power in return.

-plus the fact I don't think my driving skills ( or lack thereof) would handle it! oldgit

regards,
G

smile

Depends why you have turned green? If it's just the beautiful Roadster that we didn't manage to see at the factory visit somestick then no probs, as you were laugh2

If you've turned physically green for a Xmas related issue wine then puke may well be the next step, who am I to intervene wink

Cheers

Having been moved into Class 3 of the Sprint Series "modified".. let's just say the CVH is going to have quite a lot of poke next season. :-)

I'm looking to sacrifice some high end power for some more mid range torque... with a 2 Valve this is easier to get than out and out power.

The overall engine build is interesting as well.. I might put the specs and RR Printout up on my web-site once it's finished.

The Throttle bodies sound like a great idea... I would also look at a proper enclosed intake as well as they are ~+5% more efficient than just the open are intake.

BTW... what compression you running at? Any ideas?
