I don’t know the first thing about photography so I’ve never bothered with a real camera, all my pictures are from an iPhone 6. Thanks everyone for the compliments, just in case you’re getting bored of scenery, I’m posting an urban art installation I saw on Saturday. Forget “Banksy” and Tracey Ermin, this is the real deal. In defiance of society’s attempt to foist structure and social responsibility on them, the inhabitants of the architect designed “ family zone” have inadvertently created a masterpiece. I give you.........: The vandalised tree and the recycling bin.

Ewn those pics are pure poetry and powerfully persuasive as I ponder the possibility of a the NS500 next year. Even though "poverty and obscurity probably await me" I am, as RB says "in some measure prepared and daily preparing to meet them." Poverty and obscurity, that is. Sorry, this just means is that I am pushing the adventure budget limits this year but will probably do it again next year and the North Scotland tour is the top temptation.

You’re correct Heinz, I probably have more pictures of the car than I do of my family. That’s not entirely my fault though, none of them like having their picture taken!
For Auster and others who plan to visit Scotland, I may have given a false impression of how nice the weather is. There are some dull days, on those, if I’m not at work, I go to the city or get stuff done at home. Other than fog though, all weather can be enjoyable here and it wouldn’t be so beautiful if it didn’t rain from time to time.
