High level brake light - test drive
I have been working out how to fit a high level brake light so that I can take some luggage on tour, almost ready now bar some finishing touches, (tidy up the wiring and hide the bolt heads with neoprene!). Also the car needs a good polish and the tyres need blacking. Oh, and some GB letters, which arrived after I got back

Thank you. They're at the court hill youth hostel, at the top of the A338 above Wantage, just where the Ridgeway crosses. Also on the B4494 halfway to Newbury where there's a brilliant deli and coffee stop, the Saddleback Farm shop. RG20 7HR. Got myself some scotch eggs with black pudding, and some game pie. Then back to the Ridgeway on the B4494

Here's the light https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/28-led-high-level-brake-light-235mmHere's the connectors, female is 0-012-52 https://www.autoelectrical.parts/product/0-012-42-econoseal-connector-male-2-way-qty-1/Here's the brackets https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Munsen-Ring-Backplate-Steel-Rod-Extension-Plastic-Chrome-TUBE/232737294230?var=532252273325&hash=item3630394796:m:mjsCvBX5Cf0IU4dAoHpHiVg Here's the solder connectors https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eventronic-Elec...+wire&psc=1On the 4/4 sport model, the light connectors are down in the bowels, unreachable from the cabin area, so I had to cut the wires about 6 inches from the light, and used a bit of the wire that came with the new lamp, and the solder connectors, to extend the wire back to the side of the cockpit. That left enough wire in the feed side to go into the cockpit , where I fitted the feed connector, and now I can plug in whichever brake light I need. Any other info needed? Of course to do this you need to remove the rack, rear finishing plate, parcel shelf, and then the large plastic storage tray
