As far as glasses go, I use a pair of Bolle, Super Nylsun glasses (available through Davida).
The great thing I find about them is that the lenses are interchangable, so you can easily switch between UV sunglasses and Yellow tint or clear without having to carry lots of glasses. Although they are not as good as goggles (especially in heavy rain or really cold air)they work fine for most occasions in the summer.

One final thing....While you are on the Davida website, take a butchers at their classic 'pudding basin' style crash helmets.
They are not certified for road use, but thats not a requirement for use in the M3W (I think?). They are super light, so perfect for using as a driving helmet...add a leather face mask and some classic oval framed Aviator goggles by Jeantet,
