I've yet to wax mine as it's still brand new - I'm reliably informed that one should wait six months before waxing brand new paint.
One of the advantages/disadvantages of 'Sand' is that it doesn't show any dirt. It's the most peculiar colour in this regard. However I'm not sure it will show a shine either. Some of the trads photographed here have the most glorious deep shines - I don't think Sand will have this property somehow.
On balance, and living a long way up an unmade track, Sand seems entirely practical! My other cars in reds and dark blues and blacks have all been buggers to keep clean. The Morgan looks easy...... Apart from the wire wheels.
