On the corvette front, i have a bit of history that looks like Camaro Z28, its gearbox had alot in common with a lamboghini... tractor, but then i was young and dumb and bought a manual, good fun driving around MK in the wet

Then changed that for a Vx220, which was great but didnt work for long distance motorway, or clothing that i didnt feel that kneeling in was a good idea (im not sure if you have tried to get out of one but the only things thats worse is a caterham 21)

Then switched to a C5 Vette, and it did all the things that i could ask, it was fast comfortable, surprisingly economical, it behaved its self on the whole. Followed this with a Monaro, Alfa 166 (tried to be a grown up), Maserati QP then went all sensible and got a Citroen C5.

I drove a Z06 'vette C6 about a year ago and it just does everything that i think you can want it to particularly up against my perception of a MF5.

but your right i would rather have a Max than the vette or the MF5 but would probably need the difference in price between the MF5 and the Max to fix all the annoying small things, like wipers not working properly, no arch liners etc

I really like proper GT cars, and this is sometimes where my love of morgan styling clashes with my sensible side
