Be great to see you Howard.

This is the Saturday route ending with a visit to Portmeirion and sospan from Llanelli is working on the Sunday route.

Sterling job from Brownbaker - had a look at the map and it looks a fantastic route.

Were sorted for Saturday Thanks Andy!

Hi David, May I suggest this route.
Head East on the A494 to Bala.
As you leave bala take theA4212 then after a few miles right onto the
B4501.
When reaching the A5 go left then next right into the Village of
Cerrigydrudion at cross road take the B4501 which is one leg of the Evo
triangle.
This is a fast road with good view of Lynn Brenig. At the T junction
turn left unto A543 this is the other leg of triangle. This is a fast
moorland road some bends deceptive.( beware!)
This takes you down to the A5.(If you turn left it is the last leg of
triangle) you turn right and head for Betws-y-Coed.
Suggest stop here for a short while.
Proceed through Betws along the A5 until Capel Curig take the left
A4086 another good fast road.with great scenery. The road split you are
going straight on to Beddgelert. The car park just after the junction is
the one mention below. The view from here is fantastic.
When you reach Beddgelert turn right over bridge the ice cream shop is
on the right (limited parking)
The run from Beddgelert run along a beautiful valley and if lucky the
steam train will be passing through.
You carry on till you eventually reach Porthmadog. You can take the new
by-pass to Portmerion but I would go through the town because you paas
the little steam railway.
Carry on following the Portmerion signs.
I would allow a couple of hour here as it is amazing.A drink in the
hotel overlooking the estuary this is beautiful.
Then proceed back to base.I think the wooden toll bridge is closed as
they are replacing it with a new croncrete one!!
You can take the coastal route back or the road past the old nuclear
power station Trawsfynydd.
I would suggest lunch in Betws y Coed the Waterloo Hotel as you enter
is very good and good value. There are alot in the town also.
I think Lake Vyrnwy is too long a round trip. The roads up to it a
narrow with grass in the centre not Aero stuff.
Hope this helps.
Regards Andrew
