I took my bonnet strap off when I had the Supersport bonnet fitted. After refitting it yesterday....and deciding that it didn't quite work with the new bonnet....I noticed some corrosion starting where the strap had been fitted to the body. I suspect that water had remained trapped and soaked into the leather and sheepskin where it is clamped under the bonnet stop.
So...worth checking!
Yep, mine was down to bare metal but covered in a thick grey paste. Still the same!
BRIAN - I also have corrosion down both sides of the front windscreen holders and I always keep side screens on
, but as my daily drive and 02-07.00 starts typically, I dont have the time to take them off (or at least put them back on), so I will get Williams to do some work on the this summer. At least I know "why" now, thanks.
