Hence my Golf GTI has fabric rather than leather.
The happy memories I still have of the fabulous 1600 Mk1 GTi we owned back in Wimbledon 27 years ago mean I strongly believe that the appropriate upholstery for a Golf GTi is that VW tartan which adorned those early cars.
I still rate that Golf as one of the best cars we've ever owned.
