Funny you started this thread as I wanted exactly the same information for my 1.6 Zetec in my 2011 4/4.
I wrote to the Ford Customer Service in Australia and included a photo of my engine that showed the details on the label affixed to the rocker cover.
I was after some basic details of the engine; a suitable workshop manual and a referral to a facility that could advise on and fit performance up grades (throttle bodies, cam, exhaust and ECU mapping etc)
Ford rang me some days later to advise that they would NOT provide ANY information and could not guarantee there service agents would provide it either.
Feeling somewhat aggrieved, I asked to speak to the manager who confirmed in no uncertain terms that NO information would be provided.
As I had approached them in writing I requested written confirmation that they would not respond to any of my questions or provide any assistance – a request they aggressively rejected! To round out this brilliant piece of customer liaison – the manager wished me “good luck finding out about your Ford engine and gearbox” and hung up!
Ford “crate” motor, you’re on your own mate.......
