Thanks Peter & Jay for your response. The letter to Ford was not mission critical. I had already done some research of my own but thought an official approach to Ford might be worthwhile.
I was essentially after an appropriate manual which I believe to be a Focus (for the motor, not sure on the gearbox) as well as some direction on proper performance enhancements in an effort to avoid the hot rod voodoo that seems to abound.
I did not really expect too much as some in the Morgan community here have told me Ford won’t touch their cars but I was surprised by their response. The engines fitted to our cars are “crate” motors that only carry a 2 year Ford warranty as distinct from a new Ford Focus which carries 5 year/60,000 Ford cover on the power train.
Probably explains why you only get a two year warranty on a new Morgan.
