I agree that 'hold its value' is a better expectation than appreciate - especially when one takes into account the inflation-adjusted value of money. As an example, £30,000 in 2003 would be equivalent to around £38,500 in today's money. I don't know whether these numbers equate to what you could buy a +8 for now and in 2003. Either way, must remember to get out and enjoy my cars more this year... blush .
