I may be wrong but all the factory fitted bonnet straps....bar one....are dummy like the Superdry, ie bolted to the bonnet. There is certainly one M3W owner on this forum who has a functional strap, fitted to the body with traditional staples and I've seem one at the factory. The traditional staples are stocked by the likes of
