I can now report that the Firestone 165/15 F560s are excellent. At 18psi they have a bit more grip than the Contis they replaced, yet the steering remains reasonably light.
The MWS stainless wires are beautiful high quality items and according to my tyre guy were very easy to balance (they are tubeless, silicone sealed BTW) which is borne out by lack of vibration at 80mph indicated.
