Yea, the DS had an option for swiveling headlamps. There have been very few who have offered the feature, which makes me wonder how useful it is and/or how problematic it is.
The DS was a wonderful system but it was mechanicallly based. More moving parts attached to the steering assembly adding to the complication. Tucker had his version using one lamp. Some of the Lexus models employ a different system that is admirable as well. I think they are using the same idea in that it kicks in at low speed but gets out of the way at higher speeds.
The system is very useful on dark curvy mountain roads where going fast is insane anyway! Diving into a black hole is not my idea of a good time...
A great idea but expensive to pull off as well as adding mechanical complication.
