Peter....I'm fitting one of Matthiaus's engine turned alloy panels. Still keeping all the standard switches and lights as I like the clean look of them. Thought it would go well with the black dash. You can blame 007.....he has a rather stunning black dash in his 4/4 Sport with similar inserts.
I think you are right, I look forward to seeing your final photos. Like your car my dash is black, but black leather. I've been wondering if a contrasting center panel would look good, possibly engine turned stainless: with matte leather it doesn't want to be polished.
When you have finished with your old panel could I borrow it to use as a template? I fancy making my own....
