Have heard a lot about these guys:
http://www.roadhawk.co.uk/blog/No experience of them, but have a small HD bullet cam on suckers attached to my bike crash helmet & some good results. Downside is the faff with loading up different SD cards, logging & storing etc etc.
Best system for me would be a system that is solid state, runs constantly when engine is running & runs a 'spool' type of recording method in that once it's full up it simply deletes the oldest in order to gain new space.
I know from experience that having 'facts' recorded is a double edged sword - we're never completely innocent..!
