Why carry one?
Anything big enough to really put out a car fire is so large you wouldn't want in the car.
Trying to do anything with a 1kg dry powder extinguisher is only to put yourself in danger.
For racing and competition it is a different matter. Mostly the extinguisher is plumbed in so it discharges into the engine bay ad the fuel tank area.
