I'm about to Dynamat behind & under the seats on my M3W. Behind the lower backrest on the bulkhead there is what appears to be sound proofing. Was it present on your car & if so did you remove it before you did the job? Did you silicone seal any gaps beforehand?

If so no I left it on. I didn't silicon the gaps, I overlapped / filled them with the off cuts. I did seal the rear square section that you can see the seatbelts from the boot and also the prop tunnel section.
