Booking on Condor to the Channel Islands I discovered they can only take a limited number of Morgans per crossing on the "fast cat" as the cars low ground clearance makes it essential they go on the lower deck, they don't like the ramps. But they were very good about it.
All ferry companies want to be able to tie down cars and bikes: for cars they use the wheels so not sure how they would tie down a trike.
For a M3W to France I think I'd take the shuttle!
