I don't know what the top one is but aircon condensed water only seems to come from the bottom. I bought some silicon tube to lead it down near the gearbox. It would be easy to install while you have the ECU cover off.

I don't think heat is a huge problem but it may be worth putting 'Reflect-a-Cool' while you are on the job. I found the front bonnet release almost too hot to touch one day so it does get hot in there.
