As a postscript, my trim protectors arrived last week from Heart of England Morgans. I believe that Uncle Melvyn also does a version of this. The HOE protectors are a simple contoured U channel which slots over the B post trim, once the screws are loosened off, and prevents wear on the trim panel edge. Very worthwhile with short doors. but also finishes off long door cars.
