when I was young, I read a german book by Ernst "Klacks" Leverkus (he was a famous writer for the leading motorcycle journal "Das Motorrad"), he wrote in 1955 (?) about the Black Shadow a memorable story, when he met in the snowy winter, driving the Vincent, too black guys on another HRD (he said, in this year, there were sold 11 Black Shadows in germany and in the first year, they killed 10 of the drivers), they stopped beside the road, mounted a tent and spent the night in the snow telling stories about motorcycles.
I am now 60 years old, I never forgot this story and I always dreamed of this piece of iron ... so please, some photos
PS: he "invented" the legendary Elephantentreffen at the Nurburgring, so if you understand german, google for: Ernst klacks Leverkus Motorradgeschichten
