Mutley, that is a Mk2 Chopper that is about to under go a full restoration and custom paint to match the Morgan.
Lightshere, The clutch is pretty on/off like most, but it's engagement and use is pretty straightforward. The peddle action though is not really one i would describe as inspiring confidence. I know it is hydraulic, but i would swear it is cable with a big spring as it seems to make noises like a spring binding up. I am going to look carefully at it as i wonder if the bushes where it pivots on the shaft might be worn.
Drive train does shunt and make some agricultural clunks and bangs, but this was exactly the same as the other S1 car i drove. Also at low speed the ride is very crash and all manner of crashes emanate from the car as it rattles through poorly made towns, but at speed, anything over 55ish
it all calms down and the car then feels taught, firm but it breaths with the road and all the ride improves. In short peddle faster and it is better
