Re the rescue services.

My CL600 W216 had the 20" bling rims and no spare at all. When I got a puncture on the Oxfordshire roads I tired to get get a mobile fitting van (3.30pm) and had no luck at all despite being 10 miles from the Oxford ring road.

In the end I was going to call the AA to get it recovered and the AA actually sent a mobile fitting van to do it on the spot after 2 quick phone calls. From the company that told me they had no one available, go figure. They even had the tyre available in that size which is not something you take for granted at 285/30/20.

I prefer occasional pot luck to a life on run flats. We have them on the wifes Mini Cooper S and they are hard as rock. A friend let me try his Mini JCW on normal tyres, totally transformed with better ride and grip due to the flex in the sidewall.

I had to pay for tyre but they paid the call out fee. Moving again by 7pm

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
