I looked into this at the time - but I expected the protection to be (nearly) invisible but the film lines were unnaceptably clear to see on the examples I have seen.
Like taking the missus out with her knickers showing - safer, but I would sooner she went commando without the VPL and risk it!
You know it makes sense!
