Having discovered last week there was not a filter in the airbox the K&N arrived today & I fitted it.
It is good job the filter box has that honeycomb mesh before the inlet to the throttle body as that was strainig out the stones & flies.
After a clean up & spray of the internals in heat resistant matt black I offered up the K&N.
It didn't fit. A check on the box showed the poorly moulded flange was not square & there was too much of a lip at one end. 20 minutes with a file and all was well.
I assume that is why Ford or Mr Morgan never fitted a filter!!!
A quick test drive showed reduced induction noise and no loss of oomph that I could feel.
I guess if you own a Roadster you should check your filter is there.
