I was on my way back from limoge along country roads yesterday when i went round a bend a bit fast for the rain.
Did a 360 degree spin and ended up on the ridge between the road and the ditch. I slid along sideways on the 3wheelers belly for a while. miraculously the car wasn't damaged. jsut very muddly. even the exhausts were ok. I am very grateful to all the French people who helped me pull the car back onto the road. especially the freelander driver!
the second crash was more severe and was not my fault. i was on the M20 goind at lorry speed when a ford fiesta hit the central reservation barrier. it had been raining just before and they were going too fast. suddenly i wan't the only 3 wheeler on the road. i don't know how but the driver managed to get the vehicle onto the hard shoulder. seeing her crying in hysterics with her children was extremely sad but no one was hurt.
fortunately at the moment of impact a transit van or equivalent was in the middle lane and shielded me from debris.
i am begining to wonder if the 3 wheeler is too much of a distraction for some drivers and if i should keep it off the road. Has anyone else witnessed an accident whilst driving theirs and thought the same thing?
