I bought my first soft top over 50 years ago and have one pretty much ever since. I have never locked the doors on any of them. I never leave anything of value inside. Most of them I fitted a simple alarm via the door light switches ( obviously not possible in a MOG ) usually air horns. The only thing I ever lost was a pair of slip over headrests from my 1966 Midget left with the top down however many times I returned to the car/ s to find the door on the half catch where somebody had opened the door and set off the air horns, in fact I watched one "Scrote" do exactly that in Kings Cross and then " leg it" almost but not quite into my flying briefcase!
I hate to think how many soft tops I have saved.
