It's pretty easy, just pick up a permanent live feed ( or your clock will stop and start!) and an earth. You'll also need to take a feed from the nearest gauge bulb holder, easiest way is a double lucar connector and run that to your clock lamp.
Probably quicker to do that the time it takes to run it to your dealer.
