I found that my old Caterham CSR260 [approx. 440bhp per ton] could keep up with most 'superbikes' in a straight line, and was always faster in the corners, but lost out in traffic, when a bike needs less space to overtake. it would also do the 0 - 60 thing in around 3.5 seconds, but it had so much torque that when cruising at 80, say, in 5th, it only needed more throttle to quickly get up to and exceed 100, no gearchanges.
