I'm thinking about fitting sidepipes on my 2002 S1.
Should I go to the dealer so he can fit one or should I order an aftermarket system and let my mechanic handle it?
At the 2007 St. Tropez Club Aero event, there were a couple of Series I's with sidepipes fitted. The exhaust boxes were made by a Dutch company, I'm afraid I did not make a note of the name, but as you can see from the following photos they do look good.
The Norwegian guys who had then fitted to their cars said that they had got a local bodyshop to alter the bodywork and then just fitted the custom boxes to the cars. They looked very like a factory-fit job and I particularly liked the slashed sidepipes which looked very SLR-ish.
